How to read a trend on OhMyTrends
Guide to Understanding Trading Signals
Introduction
OhMyTrends uses a unique tilt detection algorithm to identify market trends. Here's how to interpret the signals.
Trend slopes (tilts)
Our algorithm calculates two slopes for each instrument:
- Top tilt: represents the dynamic resistance
- Bottom tilt: represents dynamic support
Interpretation of signals
When the two slopes are parallel and oriented in the same direction, this indicates a clear trend:
- Bullish trend: both slopes are positive
- Bearish trend: both slopes are negative
- Undecided trend: the slopes diverge
Price targets
The values expected today on the high and low slopes constitute target zones. When the price reaches these areas, it can represent a trading opportunity.
Conclusion
By combining slope analysis with price targets, you can identify trading opportunities with precise stop loss and take profit levels.
